Markets

Power projects move at the speed of the interconnect.

Energy projects rarely fail on engineering. They fail on queue position, permitting, and capital structure, all of which happen years before construction.

Because we develop as well as build, we are usually working on those three problems long before there is a site to mobilize.

The constraint

Interconnection queues in most of the country are now measured in years, not months. A project with land, capital, and an offtake agreement can still sit idle waiting for a transmission upgrade it does not control.

The response is to build generation at the point of load, where the queue is not the gating item.
